PDF Full Form, What is PDF?

PDF full form Portable Document Format

The Portable Document Format is a file format developed by Adobe in the 1990s, as a mean for digital file exchange, to present documents, including text formatting and images, in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems.

PDF file encapsulates a complete description of a fixed-layout flat document, including the text, fonts, vector graphics, raster images and other      information needed to display it. PDF was standardized as an open format as per ISO 32000, in 2008, and no longer requires any royalties for its implementation

PDF files are created using Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Capture, or similar products. The main idea behind the PDF file format is to enable all computer users to be able to open, review, and print the documents saved in it.
